What a delightful summer release from Entangled Select! Reading Ready to Wed was like watching my favorite romantic comedy on film and met all of my criteria for a fun, lighthearted read. Plucky heroine with a great sense of humor? Check! Love triangle with dramatic tension? Check! Killer shoes? Check! Dreamy leading man who looks just as good in a t-shirt and jeans as he does in a suit and tie? Check! Cindi Madsen’s adorable novel really did have it all.

Dakota is the perfect leading lady. She’s quirky and high-spirited, yet completely neurotic in all the right ways. As a wedding planner obsessed with details, and yet so totally in love with the idea of being in love, I found her to be wholly relatable. As for the fiancée who left her at the altar, the author did a wonderful job of humanizing Grant and making the reader sympathize with his very real reason for getting cold feet. I didn’t spend too much time rooting for him, however, because waiting in the wings was the most delightful of leading men that I’ve read in a while. Brendan is laid back and funny, and he is all heart. I loved his driving need to take care of Dakota, starting at a young age and moving forward into this love affair. So sweet!

Full of lavish descriptions of weddings and packed with tender moments, Ready to Wed is a wonderful romance. It’s light on the drama and heavy on the swoon-worthy moments and will keep you turning pages in search of more fun.

Witty and funny with romance thrown into the mix! One of my favorite reads!
OK but nothing to write home about.
It was a little slow in some parts but all in all a very sweet story. I'm a sucker for "friends fall in love" stories and this one didn't disappoint. Brendan's character is impossible not to love and very well written...love him!
Cute little love story. Well written. Story line was easy to follow. Funny characters. I would read more in this series.
I loved the compleities of the relationships-not just DJ and Grant, DJ and Brenden, but Grant and his family, DJ and her parents, and Brenden's past. I love the hope that simmers in the background and slowly begins to take center stage again. Cindi Madsen does a great job writing this story (and others).
After some serious heartbreak, Dakota finally gets things looking up. I really enjoyed the story line. Sometimes it was a little wordy, but still a good story. It had funny moments, thoughtful times and life experiences. It kept me wanting "the happy ending". And it didn't disappoint!
If there's one thing I've learned from reading Cindi Madsen's CINDERELLA SCREWED ME OVER and now READY TO WED, it's that her books just make me smile. I'm a huge fan of the nice guy hero, and READY TO WED gives us Brendan West--a good guy who is there for our broken heroine, D.J., but who also has a commanding presence of his own, both in looks and in his high profile job as casino security.

Being jilted by your fiance is one thing. Being a well-known Vegas wedding planner with the wedding that wasn't? That's another thing entirely. Watching Dakota come back from this personal setback that has become gossip column fodder is at times funny and other times heart-breaking. But this is a romance, folks, so be prepared for all the smiles when you finish.

And, uh, Brendan? I think I might have a leaky pipe under my sink...
