This was a powerful and obsessive read. I loved the heck out of this book. I'm so happy a tear is running down my cheek, I'm so blown away I feel like I'll be this high until Christmas.

I have to admit that this story challenged what I thought and felt. I did not expect to love it but I did. Raisa Andrieta is a powerful woman used to getting her own way and is not at all likeable at the start of this book. Caroline Stenbeck, corporate wife and mother, is unhappy but trying to keep her marriage and family together. When they meet they hate each other with a passion but are so attracted to each other they can't help themselves.  Their story is one of intense and destructive love that takes place against the backdrop of a threatened civil war. Caroline's repulsive husband Matt was horrible and I so wanted him to get his come-uppance. The author certainly knows how to make this reader feel a huge range of emotions. 

S Anne Gardner has written an amazing love story that I could not put down.  I devoured it! A well deserved 5 stars and a whole-hearted recommendation from this reviewer.

I read a wide verity of lesbian women’s fiction, to include an occasional hardcore romance full of money, lust, power, scandal, betrayal, anguish, etc. S Anne Gardner is one of my favorite authors when I am in the mood for a powerful love story, “For the Love of a Women” did not disappoint me. It is Wonderful.

The very first book of hers I read was on my over 3 years ago, it was “The Very Thought of You” and it was awesome. I’ve also read many of her stories that were available on-line (some have since been published), but there is one I wish so badly she would finish and apparently so do many readers. ……. I did not realize that “A Breath of Scandal” was unfinished.
I really liked this one. It wasn't the average steady romance, but a tale of a temptestorous love story filled with angst and sometimes violence. For overall reading enjoyment I would give it five stars, but the oil magnate was a little too melodramatic to be realistic. She went out of control to easily, and was betrayed cruel one minute, the next kind and considerate. 4.25 stars.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Hits many emotions, both highs and lows but in the end the love and romance between the main characters is stellar. I had to share this book right away with my S. American partner and she enjoyed it as well.
I love this book... wow. It's wonderful. It's passionate, honest, fun, keeps u guessing, and memorable! Not realistic, but who care! Enjoy.
